Welcome to the Whitman-Hanson Athletic Department. In an effort to make our athletic information more readily available, we have made our athletic handbook and sport forms available on our website. These forms are located to the right and can be downloaded and completed at home.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our athletic handbook as every student athlete and parent is responsible for knowing what is contained inside the book.  I hope that all of our students will take the opportunity to avail themselves of athletic programs offered to them for their participation.

The W-H Athletic Program offers a comprehensive 24 sport programs during three competitive seasons. Participation in athletics is one of the most valuable opportunities available in high school. Sports develop coordination of mind and body and teach fair play and sportsmanship. They show what may be accomplished by teamwork and faithful adherence to discipline. They also offer a chance to make friends and develop leadership ability.

Whether one makes a varsity team, plays on a sub-varsity or freshmen team, or is simply a member of the squad is relatively unimportant: A sound mind in a sound body is the goal of the real athlete, whenever he or she plays.
